Gorge Walking
Gorge Walking in Wales
In the north, the mountains of Snowdonia provide an awe-inspiring backdrop to this activity, whereas, in the south, it’s the white waters of the Brecon Beacons.
All of our gorge walking sessions are delivered by a team of qualified canyon guides, whose experience and passion will guarantee you an adventure you’ll never forget.
Choose your Gorge Walking Adventure
Level 1
If you are looking for an introduction into gorge walking or wish to entertain the little ones for a couple of hours, our basic Level 1 Gorge Walk will give you a taste for adventure. These trips are suitable for children aged 8+ or 6+ on private bookings.
Choose your Gorge Walking Adventure
Our gorge walking trips are ideal for people of all ages and abilities, all that is required is that you can fit into our equipment i.e. wetsuits and helmets. So if you’re an extra small/large sized person, give us a call to discuss, we carry youth size 8 to adult XXL as standard. You don’t need to have any previous gorge walking experience as we will teach you everything you need to know.
If you would like more information about what is involved on our gorge walking trips, please contact our friendly Canyon Wales team.
What should you wear Gorge Walking?
We will provide you with a wetsuit, wetsocks, helmet, and buoyancy aid as well as all the other safety equipment you will require to ascend the gorge. We recommend you wear a swimming costume / trunks underneath the wetsuit, as well as a rash vest or synthetic top when the weather is a little cooler. Bring a pair of trainers that fit comfortably, lace up, have a sturdy sole and that you don’t mind getting wet (no water shoes please). Then to top your outfit off, choose your most flamboyant pair of shorts for those all important photos!
